Pricing is vague. Policies are buried. The FAQ page answers questions nobody asks. A visitor reaches the point where they’re almost ready to contact the business, then hits uncertainty.

That hesitation costs enquiries.

So, before creating another landing page or publishing another blog post, check whether your website has the following trust pages.

Pricing or packages

Pricing is one of the first things prospective customers want to understand, even when they don’t expect an exact figure.

You don’t necessarily need to publish a fixed price. Many services vary according to scope, complexity, location, or the amount of work involved. A website project, for example, could mean a 5-page brochure site or a 100-product ecommerce store.

You can still give visitors something useful.

A basic pricing page can include:

Starting prices

Typical price ranges

What each package includes

Common add-ons

Who each option suits

What causes the final price to change

If your projects normally range between ₹30,000 and ₹1 lakh, saying so can save both you and the prospect a pointless conversation when their budget is ₹5,000.

This is why pricing pages are useful trust pages. They tell visitors what to expect before they contact you.

If publishing ranges genuinely doesn’t make sense for your business, explain how you calculate the price. Then give the visitor a clear way to request a quote.

FAQs that answer buying questions

I like FAQ pages when they’re written from actual conversations with customers.

I’m far less enthusiastic about the generic version containing questions such as “Why should I choose us?” followed by a paragraph about commitment and quality.

Your FAQ page should deal with the questions people ask when they’re deciding whether to buy.

For a service business, those might include:

How quickly can you start?

Which areas do you serve?

What exactly is included?

How long will the work take?

What do you need from me?

How do payments work?

What happens after the project is completed?

Do you provide ongoing support?

If 3 prospects have asked the same question, there’s a good chance the answer belongs on your website.

Good trust pages reduce uncertainty before the enquiry. They can also save you from explaining the same basic details on every introductory call.

Policies people can find before they buy

Policies become especially important when money, appointments, delivery, personal data, or refunds are involved.

For ecommerce businesses, visitors may want to know whether they can return something, how long delivery takes, and who pays for return shipping. Someone booking an appointment may want to know what happens if they cancel 2 hours beforehand.

Common policy pages include:

Privacy policy

Shipping policy

Returns and refunds

Cancellation and rescheduling

Terms of service

Make these pages easy to find. A policy buried somewhere in the footer technically exists, but a customer who needs the information during checkout still has to hunt for it.

Strong trust pages answer these questions before they become reasons to abandon the purchase.

A service area page for local businesses

If you run a local business, visitors need one very simple piece of information: do you serve where I live?

A service area page answers that directly.

Include the cities, neighbourhoods, or regions you cover. Mention your main services and link each one to the relevant service page. You can also include typical response times and a clear contact option.

Local proof makes the page stronger. For example, if you have genuine customer reviews mentioning specific neighbourhoods you serve, use them where relevant.

A good service area page also gives search engines clearer information about where your business operates.

For a local company, this can be one of the most practical trust pages on the entire website.

Reviews and results deserve their own place

Your reviews shouldn’t exist only in a rotating homepage slider that displays one testimonial every 8 seconds.

Give strong proof a permanent home.

A reviews or results page can contain customer testimonials, Google review excerpts, case studies, before-and-after examples, screenshots, project photos, or measurable results where you have permission to share them.

I’ve spent more than 18 years working across websites, SEO, content, social media and paid campaigns, and one pattern keeps coming up: prospective customers want evidence before they want another claim. My own work has included more than 30 brands, so I’d rather show a visitor what was done and what changed than tell them I provide “excellent digital marketing services.”

Use proof close to the relevant service too. The dedicated page gives people somewhere to investigate further when they need reassurance.

Which trust pages should you create first?

You don’t need to add 8 new pages this weekend.

Start with the page that answers the biggest unanswered question in your buying process.

If prospects constantly ask how much you charge, create Pricing first. If they’re worried about cancellations, write the policy. If local customers keep asking whether you cover their neighbourhood, create the Service Area page.

For a new small business website, I’d build in roughly this order:

Services or Products

Contact

Reviews or Results

Home

About

FAQs

Pricing and relevant policies

Then look at the questions people keep asking before they buy. Those questions will tell you which trust pages your website still needs.

The useful test is simple: open your website as a prospective customer and try to make a decision using only the information already there. Every point where you have to guess is something worth fixing.

Added trust pages to your website?
